Lifts and Slopes in Bansko Ski Zone

Find the Right Lifts and Slopes in Bansko for Your Skill Level and Plan Your Day
The Bansko ski area has only one gondola lift
The base station, located behind the Kempinski Hotel, starts at around 1,000 meters above sea level. The gondola has a middle station and a top station. At approximately 1,600 meters, the top station is where all skiers and snowboarders get off to reach the slopes. The gondola can transport up to 2,000 people per hour, with a travel time of about 25 minutes to reach the top. An alternative option is shuttle buses, which operate from the area in front of the gondola station. These buses provide direct transportation to the mountain slopes and are especially useful during peak times. A recommended provider is Vaik Company.
Slopes in Bansko Resort
Bansko Resort features 75 kilometers of marked slopes. The slopes offer a variety of difficulties, indicated by colors: blue for easier slopes, red for moderate difficulty, and black for the most challenging. It's important to consider the length of each slope, as longer slopes will keep you active while descending for a longer time
Note that some blue and red slopes may be more difficult than the standard classification.
Recommendation For:
Bunderishka Polyana offers a flat area that's perfect for beginners to learn. Several easy slopes with lifts are available. Behind the gondola, there's a dedicated area for first-timers with a magic carpet and a drag lift. In front of the gondola to the right, there's another drag lift for those with a few days of experience who can already stop with their skis or snowboard. On the left side, there's a magic carpet with a short slope, mostly used by beginner snowboarders. Once beginners feel confident on these slopes, they can move on to Ski Road Number (1) - the next step in their skiing journey.
